Artisans Alive---Back to the Future

Why would a business stay small in an age of economic expansion and maximizing profits? Wine...Coffee...

It Must Be Love.

A short documentary by Short Focus Films for a group of small scale producers in McLaren Vale, South Australia.
________

--->French vegans in dock over baby's death. An autopsy showed that Louise was suffering from a vitamin A and B12 deficiency which experts say increases a child's sensitivity to infection and can be due to an unbalanced diet...

--->New World Order Education? Obama says too much testing makes education boring. "Too often what we have been doing is using these tests to punish students," [What!?} the president told students and parents at a town hall hosted by the Univision Spanish-language television network at Bell Multicultural High School in Washington, D.C... Note: This poor Nobel peace-prize (!) warmonger is completely out of control or is attempting to dumb us down---likely both. Then out of the other side of his sadly incoherent mouth he demands measurable results, not only for students but for teachers. Go figure. Education is increasingly being reduced to political correctness / 'sociology' / propaganda (all the same thing), clearly. More than his words, one must see where he is going.

--->Corapi accuser promised to ‘destroy’ priest after being fired:

--->Tom Burghardt: Orwell 2011: Towards a Pervasive "Surveillance State" in America. Biometrics, Facial Mapping, "Computer-Aided ID".... Note: The trouble with this, besides the Orwellian / Brave New World obvious, is that corporate technology begins increasingly to see the surveillance state as the business of the future and orients its capacities to it rather than making 'old-fashioned' goods for the daily life of real human beings. Total surveillance reflects a kind of paranoia (fear of blowback) in view of our planetary wars and occupations around the world. It also destroys jobs by taking ordinary local police off the streets who are always the best "eyes". See the Telegraph's CCTV cameras: If they do not stop crime or catch criminals, what are they for? (click). A return to justice and minding our own business around the world is the way and what we must demand of our representatives. Justice given makes for justice received.

--->India state bans book apparently smearing Gandhi for publicity...(click) , but "Gandhi often filled his letters, including those to female associates, with strong love language, but that did not lead to physical intimacy. "Nothing happened," he said. "He is telling his feelings, but they are platonic. They are not put into action. That would have been terrible for him."

--->Obama to Deliver Speech at Georgetown. Many Catholics were upset in 2009 after Obama delivered a speech in Georgetown’s Gaston Hall because the University complied with a White House request and covered over the monogram “IHS” which is an ancient symbols for the name of Jesus Christ...

--->Popes and Saints Take on 'Suspicion and Conspiracy': Pope Benedict counters “attacks by Freud and Nietzsche on Christianity’s alleged fear of eros by explaining the authentic Christian view of sexuality and love,” he said. Likewise, the encyclical (Deus Caritas Est, 2006.) addresses the Marxist use of resentment, as illustrated in the famous phrase “religion is the opium of the people,” by first admitting where Marx’s social critique is right and then noting where Marx went wrong...[Father Joseph Koterski] said Pope Benedict responded wisely to the clergy sexual-abuse scandals in Germany and Ireland in 2010. "Not only did he swiftly put in place what was needed to deal with the crisis in a way that was at once compassionate, firm and realistic, but he also worked vigilantly to counter various slanders against the Church that arose in the press," Father Koterski said...More

  1. I know you post the Vimeos for others, but I'd have surely lost my marbles or my spirits in the past few months if not for your arts and artisans, here. I hope the videos truly give youngsters some excellent ideas for their own futures.
