Of gods and men

Forgive the brief Advert

Based on the true story of a small group of Cistercian monks based in Algeria in the 1990s Of Gods and Men similarly considers questions of mortality, freedom, fear and martyrdom when an Algerian terrorist group targets not only French nationals and Christians, but any outsiders living or working in the region. Closely involved with the local community, and accepted by the villagers for the good work they do distributing aid and medicine, the monks know that a confrontation with the Islamist groups operating in the region is inevitable and they have to consider their position. The decision is not an easy one---Jim Forest

--->Video: Dr. Philip Jenkins argues that anti-Catholicism has become socially acceptable, though it is no different than any other form of prejudice. Hear him make the case for universal recognition of intolerance...
