What's Not Been Said: The Culture
--->Everyday for months we saw sex abuse stories drummed in by the nightly news and in all media.
If one has looked at that general media as most of us have from 2002 until now, people have almost exclusively seen---it must be said---the carefully and cynically pointed lens intensely targeting and hammering the Catholic Church practically to the exclusion of everyone and everything else in our Western culture---as if the problem was not one of Western decadence over the past 40 years in general. Yet only a little research shows homosexual sex abuse of teen boys is seen everywhere from the French Minister of Culture to the United Nations, to the White House and high military, to public schools, almost every strata of societies; and see here on that). But when high officials belong to the globalist club, and play by the rules, they are easily forgiven and quickly hidden at will.
The persecutors of the Church, alas, have written faster than the speed of thought, which certainly explains how they get so much wrong.
Pedophile Planet: The "Sexual Revolution" has with the help of modern media seeped into practically the whole world, certainly the entire West and way beyond, for many decades now. But the media only selectively reports the extent of the problem. It's not just "pedophilia," it's an entire moral collapse, a culture of transgression turning our daughters and sons into objects to be exploited for the monied elites. Nihilism devours itself, which is why we had better turn around.

Benedict XVI's New Abuse Norms
7.15.10 - A new document from the Vatican, published today, sets forth new, faster procedures for the handling of sexual abuse cases in the Church. The new document, signed on May 21, 2010, but published today, is a revision of norms originally published nine years ago, on April 30, 2001. The bottom line: Pope Benedict is beginning to get serious about his reform of the Church...
By Robert Moynihan, Inside the Vatican magazine The Benedictine Reform
July 15, 2010 — Today in Rome, the Holy See published revisions in the norms to be used throughout the Church to handle "more serious (or exceptionally serious) crimes" ("graviora delicta").
Pope Benedict XVI approved these revisions on May 21, and that have since been translated and prepared for publication today.
The essential meaning of these changes is that Pope Benedict is moving forward steadily in his overarching vision to reform the Catholic Church...The revised norms also lay the basis for a more vigilant defense of the sanctity of the sacraments, above all, of the Eucharist, but also of Penance and Holy Orders...Read it all (Link repaired)

Too, the media reflects not reality but hyper-reality which by definition means gross distortion, exaggeration, not mere magnification.
Why, then, the focus only on Catholics in the media? A major aim in the selective and cynical media targeting of the Catholic Church specifically, and disproportionately ignoring similar transgressions in other religious and non-religious communities across all levels of this society, appears an attempt to break up Catholic influence, alienate Catholics from their own church (not possible for the most part) and so dilute Catholicism as a politically significant prolife force in this country and elsewhere.
Celibacy can hardly be blamed. Offending priests were mostly homosexuals committing homosexuals acts against teenage boys. The last thing homosexual priests want is a woman and natural marriage.

--->'Homosexuality and the Church Crisis'---Matt Abbott
from First Things: On the Square by George Weigel
The sexual and physical abuse of children and young people is a global plague; its manifestations run the gamut from fondling by teachers to rape by uncles to kidnapping-and-sex-trafficking. In the United States alone, there are reportedly some 39 million victims of childhood sexual abuse. Forty to sixty percent were abused by family members, including stepfathers and live-in boyfriends of a child’s mother—thus suggesting that abused children are the principal victims of the sexual revolution, the breakdown of marriage, and the hook-up culture. Hofstra University professor Charol Shakeshaft reports that 6-10 percent of public school students have been molested in recent years—some 290,000 between 1991 and 2000. According to other recent studies, 2 percent of sex abuse offenders were Catholic priests—a phenomenon that spiked between the mid-1960s and the mid-1980s but seems to have virtually disappeared (six credible cases of clerical sexual abuse in 2009 were reported in the U.S. bishops’ annual audit, in a Church of some 65,000,000 members).
Yet in a pattern exemplifying the dog’s behavior in Proverbs 26:11, the sexual abuse story in the global media is almost entirely a Catholic story, in which the Catholic Church is portrayed as the epicenter of the sexual abuse of the young, with hints of an ecclesiastical criminal conspiracy involving sexual predators whose predations continue today...Read it all

Is There A Greater Sex Crime? UN Shame Over Food for Sex Scandal
The international organisation says that almost 200 of its peacekeepers around the world have been disciplined for sex offences - including rape and child abuse - but not one seems to have been prosecuted
By Francis Elliott and Ruth Elkins
The Independent, Sunday, 7 January 2007
Nearly 200 United Nations peacekeepers have been disciplined in the past three years for sex offences ranging from rape to assaults on minors, the UN has admitted. Yet none appears to have been prosecuted.
Senior UN officials said on Friday that 319 soldiers, police or civilians serving on missions have been investigated for sexual misconduct over the past three years, and 180 have been dismissed or repatriated.
These numbers do not include allegations levelled at members of the UN's own staff. According to an internal UN report, these total 91, including 13 alleged to have had sex with minors, 15 who gave jobs in return for sex, 17 who had sex with prostitutes, five who face allegations of rape and one person who is alleged to have committed sexual assault.
The internal report, which was published in May last year, presents data on allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse within the UN system between January and December 2006. It also says that 40 UN staff were alleged to have carried out other forms of sexual abuse.
Presenting the figures about the 319 personnel investigated, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping, Jane Holl Lute, said that the inquiries had resulted in the summary dismissal of 18 civilians, and the repatriation of 17 international police and 144 military personnel. However, she did not cite any prosecutions.
According to the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations, during the first 10 months of 2006, 63 per cent of misconduct allegations involving peacekeeping personnel related to sexual exploitation and abuse, a third involving prostitution. A new anti-prostitution campaign is about to start, "to target what has been a troubling pathway for sexual exploitation and abuse in the missions", Ms Lute said.
With nearly 200,000 people from more than 100 countries rotating through the peacekeeping missions every year, some people "are going to behave badly", she told a news conference. "What's different now is... our determination to stay with this problem... and constantly improve our ability to deal with it."
The issue of sexual offences committed by UN personnel made headlines around the world with claims in early 2005 that peacekeepers in Congo had sex with Congolese women and girls, usually in exchange for food or small sums of money. Jordan's UN ambassador, Prince Zeid al-Hussein, wrote a report several months later that described the UN military arm as deeply flawed. It recommended withholding the salaries of the guilty and requiring nations to pursue legal action against perpetrators. It said abuses had been reported in missions ranging from Bosnia and Kosovo to Cambodia, East Timor, West Africa and Congo.
The UN peacekeeping department instituted a new code of conduct for peacekeepers and new training for officers and all UN personnel, and it reinforced messages of "zero tolerance" for sexual abuse. The Peacekeeping Department said in a memo: "In an environment where around a third of civilians in missions are new at any one time and contingent members change every six months, there is a constant need for vigilance and particularly training on standards of conduct."
But serious allegations continue to surface in many places where UN peacekeepers work. Investigations last year by the BBC claimed that children had also been subjected to rape and prostitution by UN peacekeepers in Haiti and Liberia as far back as 2004.
In one case, an 11-year-old girl told of sexual abuse by peacekeepers outside the gates of the presidential palace in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince. A 14-year-old girl interviewed by the BBC described how she was abducted and raped inside a UN naval base in Haiti in 2004. The UN dismissed the allegation due to lack of evidence, and the alleged attacker was allowed to return to his home country.
In May 2006, another BBC investigation discovered systematic abuse in Liberia. Food, it was claimed, had been given out to teenage refugees by UN peacekeepers in return for sex.
A French UN logistics expert based in Congo was found to have shot pornographic videos and was about to rape a 12-year-old girl when police raided his home there in December 2004. UN staffers from Morocco were found to have made 82 local women and girls pregnant, according to a report by one international group in 2004. The same year, it was reported that another UN soldier accused of rape there was apparently hidden in the barracks for a year. UN insiders also told in 2004 of two Russian pilots who had paid young girls with jars of mayonnaise and jam to have sex with them.
Last week, a new case emerged, in Sudan. Children as young as 12 were systematically forced to have sex with at least four Bangladeshi peacekeepers in the town of Juba, in south Sudan, for 18 months despite complaints to senior officers.
According to one newspaper investigation, peacekeeping and civilian staff based in Juba are regularly picking up children using their UN vehicles and offering them money in return for sex. "A man in a white car drove past, I saw that it was a UN car because it was white with black letters on it," a 14-year-old boy called Jonas told The Daily Telegraph. "The man had a badge on his clothes. When he stopped the car, we got out, he put a blindfold on me and started to abuse me. It was very painful and went on for a long time. When it was over, we went back to the place we had been and he pushed me out of the car and left."
On the Sudanese case, the Department of Peacekeeping Operations corrected information it had supplied last week that four UN peacekeepers from Bangladesh had been sent home and 13 other peacekeepers serving in southern Sudan were under investigation for alleged serious misconduct, including sexual exploitation and abuse.
According to the department, there are currently 13 sexual exploitation and abuse cases under investigation by the UN Office of Internal Oversight Services in Sudan (OIOS), half in southern Sudan.
These cases include an investigation into an allegation of sexual exploitation and abuse in June 2006 against a Bangladeshi peacekeeper in southern Sudan. While the OIOS investigation is continuing, the department said the peacekeeper was sent home and dismissed from the army.
In addition, three Bangladeshi guards on duty when the alleged incident took place, and two officers, were repatriated for poor supervision or poor command. The Bangladeshi army dismissed one guard, lowered the rank of the two others, and severely reprimanded the two officers, the Peacekeeping Department said.
Prosecutions of peacekeepers are rare. Under UN regulations, servicemen and women can only be prosecuted in their home countries, not in the country where they are serving. In 1997, a military court sentenced two Belgian paratroopers to a month in jail and a £200 fine for roasting a Somali boy over a brazier. Another Belgian soldier is reported to have forced a young Somali boy to eat pork, drink salt water and then eat his own vomit. Pictures also appeared in the 1990s of Italian soldiers abusing and raping a Somali girl.
The U.N. sex-for-food scandal
May 9, 2006
The United Nation's "sex-for-food" scandal continues to spread. As the human rights group Save the Children documents in a new report, U.N. peacekeepers in the war-torn, refugee-rich Liberia have been accused of selling food for sex from girls as young as 8. They are the latest victims in a growing tragedy that includes girls from Burundi, Ivory Coast, East Timor, Congo, Cambodia and Bosnia, proving correct a prediction made last year by the assistant secretary-general at the United Nations for peacekeeping operations. "We think this will look worse before it begins to look better," she said last May after efforts to investigate peacekeepers in Congo had fallen short.
The report found abuse at all age levels from 8 to 18, though the victims older than 12 were identified as being "regularly involved in 'selling sex'." But "all of the respondents clearly stated that they felt that the scale of the problem affected over half of the girls in their locations," the report said.
Similar to other U.N. missions, the scandal in Liberia seems to be the result of inadequate training, zero threat of punishment and collusion with top mission officials and NGO workers. "In all the [refugee] camps where discussion groups were conducted, the Camp Management Committee and block leaders were implicated," the report found. What's more, parents of the abused children typically have refrained from complaining since selling their children for sex is the only way to get food.
Despite being aware of the abuse for some time, the United Nations appears to be operating at its usual sluggish pace. A U.N. humanitarian coordinator in Liberia, Jordan Ryan, told the Associated Press that the report was "outdated" and that "much has improved since then." "There are good things that are now happening in Liberia," he said, adding that those caught engaging in "sex-for-food" are fired.
That, unfortunately, hasn't been good enough. It took U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan nearly a year of similar allegations from the mission in Congo before telling reporters that he was taking the matter seriously. When the United Nations finally did act, a handful of peacekeepers were fired. But the scandal continues to spread, suggesting that a more serious overhaul of hiring and training practices needs to be implemented.
Toward that end, the United States needs to exert greater pressure. Congress should take the place of an unconcerned U.N. bureaucracy and hold hearings to investigate how and why young girls continue to be at the mercy of U.N. workers. At the very least, such hearings would shine a much-needed light on these tiny victims, whose lives have been shattered by the peacekeepers in blue helmets.
Sex and Drugs at the UN
New York Post | June 1 2004
Three United Nations fieldworkers are publishing details of sex, drugs and corruption inside U.N. missions - despite an attempt by the world body to block their book.
"Emergency Sex and Other Desperate Measures: A True Story from Hell on Earth" chronicles the experiences of a doctor, a human-rights official and a secretary in U.N. operations in Cambodia, Somalia, Haiti, Rwanda, Liberia and Bosnia.
The controversial volume, due out next week, charges that some U.N. officials demanded that 15 percent of their local staff's salaries go directly to them instead; that Bulgaria sent freed criminals to serve as peacekeepers; and that incompetent U.N. security has cost lives.
Their first-person account of a decade in U.N. service also includes candid details of drug use - particularly a marijuana cocktail called "The Space Shuttle" - and casual sex.
"Almost a million civilians [whom] our peacekeepers were supposed to protect died in two genocides," said Dr. Andrew Thomson, one of the co-authors. "We didn't set out to write a scandalous book about the U.N., but this is a matter of historical record. Did the U.N. really think that none of us would come home angry and write about it?"
The book takes its title from an episode in Somalia in which Heidi Postlewait, an American secretary, seeks consolation with a local interpreter after a sniper attack.
"I can feel this pounding inside me and I can't wait. It has to be right now, not in 10 minutes, not five. Now," she writes. "An emergency. Emergency sex."
At one point, the former New York social worker has sex with a soldier at their Mogadishu base.
"After, we lay back naked, sweat drying, smoking cigarettes. Nice," she writes. "Then I spotted an observation tower not 50 feet away, where two soldiers with night-vision goggles were peeping down at us . . . I think they set me up."
Particularly galling to the fieldworkers is the murder in Mogadishu of a young American colleague, shot dead as he rode in a U.N. convoy.
Kenneth Cain, an American human-rights official, complains bitterly that the board of inquiry ignored failings in U.N. security.
"The board is stacked with U.N. officials who oversee security," he writes. "I don't trust these f- - -s for a second to truly investigate and hold one of their own accountable."
Bulgaria has denied that it sent freed prisoners as peacekeepers to Cambodia, but some of the other allegations in the book have been substantiated.
For instance, an inquiry into the bombing of the U.N. office in Baghdad last year found the whole U.N. security system to be "dysfunctional."
The U.N. hierarchy tried to block the book using a rule requiring that U.N. staff get approval before writing about their work. Permission was denied.

Jews Above the Law? Shocking Sexual Abuse
...And double standards. A man writes, If you need any more proof that in the United States Jews are essentially above the law, consider the following October 14, 2009 press release from Bill Donahue of The Catholic League:
THE POLITICS OF CHILD RAPE
October 14, 2009
Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on a front-page news story in today’s New York Times on the problem of child sexual abuse:
Reporter Paul Vitello shows the shocking extent of child sexual abuse in Brooklyn’s Orthodox Jewish community. He also details the cover-ups that have long been aided and abetted by law enforcement.
Where have all the church-and-state advocates been all these years when Orthodox rabbis were allowed by the D.A.’s office to settle these cases “internally”? Where have all the professional victims’ groups been in staging protests outside synagogues? Where have all the sue-happy lawyers been seeking to plunder the Orthodox? Where have all the comedians and late-night entertainers been in cracking jokes about rabbis raping kids?
It’s not just Orthodox Jews who have been given a pass: no group has gotten away easier than public school employees. Consider this. Because public school students have only 90 days to file suit, it is already too late to prosecute a teacher—in virtually every state—who molested a minor as recently as last spring. But if the offense took place in a Catholic school, the student has years to file suit. Not only that, molesting teachers are still shuffled from one school district to another; it’s called “passing the trash.”
Just Imagine---and how come people hardly ever hear about it?
Orthodox Jews try cases of child rape in rabbinical courts. Imagine if the Catholic Church failed to report abuse cases to the authorities and decided instead to institute its own ecclesial courts? Today’s article quotes a Jewish attorney urging law enforcement to recognize “religious sensitivities” for the guilty by seeking alternatives to prison. Allow a Catholic attorney to advise the same and it’s called corruption.
Last year, 40 minors in this small Jewish community said they were abused. Last year, there were 10 such allegations in the entire Catholic Church in all 50 states. Catholics are fed up with the duplicity. It’s not just Roman Polanski who can rape and run with impunity these days. The politics of child rape is sickening. [...Source]

The Ground of His Atheistic Being and Ultimate Concern? This man was an idol to many "Catholic" Theologians. He helped shake the foundations
"[Harvard theologian-philosopher, Paul] Tillich's chief claim to fame will be that he fooled a lot of people... Tillich is a complete atheist who lost his belief while completing his higher education. Intellectually he despises Christianity ... Still, being the son of a clergyman and having a fondness for religious life, Tillich [will] have his cake and eat it too. He is going to remain with the Church for the purpose of undermining Christianity from within." --- Leonard F. Wheat
"Paul Tillich’s wife Hannah tells how, shortly after the famous theologian’s death, she discovered his collection of pornography and mementos of his amorous conquests. “I unlocked the drawers. All the girls’ photos fell out, letters and poems, passionate appeals and disgust.”
But she (with Paulus they experienced an 'open' marriage') was little better, see "Hannah Tillich, From Time to Time (1974). The Mrs. Tillich (1896-1988) chronicles her childhood in Germany, including love affairs with other girls, her first marriage, her second—open and enduring—marriage to theologian Paul Tillich...."
Truly it was an orgy of syncretistic theology, philosophy and psychology, "on the boundary," for this "teacher"; and many Catholics and Protestants learned the lessons well. Some part of the clergy sex abuse crisis can be traced to this brilliant charlatan who said he did not pray, only meditate. He had a particular fondness "for vaginas" (real and photos) but was "tolerant" of many deviations, according to his friend the psychiatrist Rollo May.

of money can be made lying for the persecuting powers. The movie and the charges were a lie according to the accuser's family, and the real life nuns were slandered, the nuns who were not anything like the actors making ugly lustful faces seen here...but this movie had its effect on millions anyway. How many lies for money have been told? Many priests too have been falsely accused but the costs of defending themselves in Bleak House against the sharks was more than prohibitive. The lawyers would drag these cases on for years and years. How does one defend himself against the charge which sticks even to the innocent? And the lawyers know it O so well. So they press for a collective settlement employing threats that it will cost even more to wage a defense. Yes, the guilty should most certainly be punished and purged; none disagree with that. But the campaign against the Church has not been fair, objective. It was been a witch hunt, selective in focus. Catholics are glad to have such sins purged from among us when evidence shows charges to be true; but we have a duty to help the innocent who have been falsely accused.
Our government floods young people and old with wall-to-wall pornography, 24x7 in all media, and then lectures the Church when some fall into sin! It's a sick joke right? Then IT makes abortion easy if a "Mistake" is made! But adoption is made hard! What moralists we have who would rather butcher than save lives.
--->Vatican: Pope was 'completely extraneous' to Munich sex abuse decision
Catholic League: The 'Gay' Cover-up Must End
NEW YORK, April 5 / Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on two news stories released today by the Associated Press:
One of the AP stories on priestly sexual abuse admits that "The overwhelming majority of the victims were adolescents. That means very few guilty priests were pedophiles, a term mental health professionals reserve for those who target pre-pubescent children." Fine. But then it says something which is positively remarkable: "Even though about 80 percent of victims were boys, the John Jay researchers and other experts on sex offenders say it does not mean the perpetrators were gay." So what would they be? Heterosexual?
The AP article relied on the extraordinary remark by Margaret Smith, a professor who worked on the John Jay study. She said that while Donohue "quoted the study's data correctly," I nonetheless "drew an unwarranted conclusion." What? That most of the molesters have been gay? Here is what she said: "The majority of the abusive acts were homosexual in nature. That participation in homosexual acts is not the same as sexual identity as a gay man." So if two men sodomize each other, no one really knows if this qualifies as gay sex. Now I must admit that when I was studying for my doctorate in sociology at NYU, they never taught me such logic.
Both AP stories say the reason why there were so many male victims is because the priests did not have access to girls as altar servers. Nonsense. There have been girl altar servers in some U.S. dioceses since 1983, and almost everywhere since 1994. The statistics actually show that the more priests have access to girls, the less likely it is for girls to be abused.
Here's the tally. As reported in 2004, between 1950 and 2002, 81 percent of the victims were male; in 2005, it stayed the same; in 2006, it dropped to 80 percent; in 2007, it climbed to 82 percent; in 2008, it jumped to 84 percent; and in 2009, it stayed at 84 percent.
In other words, even though priests have less access to males, homosexual priests are molesting them at a higher rate. It's time to end the gay cover-up once and for all.

Why would newspapers carry on a vendetta on one of the most important institutions that we have today in the United States , namely the Catholic Church?
Do you know--the Catholic Church educates 2.6 million students everyday at the cost to that Church of 10 billion dollars, and a savings on the other hand to the American taxpayer of 18 billion dollars. The graduates go on to graduate studies at the rate of 92%.
The Church has 230 colleges and universities in the U.S. with an enrollment of 700,000 students.
The Catholic Church has a non-profit hospital system of 637 hospitals, which account for hospital treatment of 1 out of every 5 people--not just Catholics--in the United States today
But the press is vindictive and trying to totally denigrate in every way the Catholic Church in this country. They have blamed the disease of pedophilia on the Catholic Church, which is as irresponsible as blaming adultery on the institution of marriage.
Let me give you some figures that Catholics should know and remember. For example, 12% of the 300 Protestant clergy surveyed admitted to sexual intercourse with a parishioner; 38% acknowledged other inappropriate sexual contact in a study by the United Methodist Church, 41.8% of clergy women reported unwanted sexual behavior; 17% of laywomen have been sexually harassed.
Meanwhile, 1.7% of the Catholic clergy has been found guilty of pedophilia. 10% of the Protestant ministers have been found guilty of pedophilia. This is not a Catholic Problem.
A study of American priests showed that most are happy in the priesthood and find it even better than they had expected, and that most, if given the choice, would choose to be priests again in face of all this obnoxious PR the church has been receiving.
The Catholic Church is bleeding from self-inflicted wounds. The agony that Catholics have felt and suffered is not necessarily the fault of the Church. You have been hurt by a small number of wayward priests that have probably been weeded out by now.
Walk with your shoulders high and you head higher. Be a proud member of the most important non-governmental agency in the United States. Then remember what Jeremiah said: 'Stand by the roads, and look and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is and walk in it, and find rest for your souls'. Be proud to speak up for your faith with pride and reverence and learn what your Church does for all other religions.
Be proud that you're a Catholic!

Homosexuality and Religious Life
"A celibate man with homosexual tendencies should not be permitted to enter religious life because (1) he will be entering a near occasion of sin; (2) his vow of chastity will be meaningless; and (3) his vow of chastity will be scripturally and canonically invalid. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection" (#2359). "If you think about the vast number of youth that are affected by this you have to look at this as an overall social problem of significant dimensions," says one of the report's researchers, Margaret Smith, a project researcher.
"The study established that the vast majority of known cases in the US happened decades ago, though they were only reported much more recently....current research and expert opinion suggest that men within the Catholic Church may be no more likely than others to abuse, and that the prevalence of abuse by priests has fallen sharply in the last 20-30 years. Some 4% of American priests and deacons in active ministry were accused of abusing children in cases dating to the years between 1950 and 2002, the study found, with 75% of the abuses alleged to have taken place from 1960-1984...Overall, from 2001-2010 the Vatican has considered sex abuse allegations concerning about 3,000 priests dating back up to 50 years [This is out of 400,000 priests worldwide], according to figures given last month by Monsignor Charles J Scicluna, who as the Vatican's Promoter of Justice heads the office that investigates such cases. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (today Benedict XVI): "A final question of pastoral practice pertains to ministry to homosexual men and women. The Archdiocese should withdraw all support from any group, which does not unequivocally accept the teaching of the Magisterium concerning the intrinsic evil of homosexual activity.
"This teaching has been set forth in this Congregation's Declaration on Sexual Ethics and more recently in the document, Educational Guidance in Human Love, issued by the Congregation for Catholic Education in 1983. The ill-advised welcome of a pro-homosexual group to your cathedral, as well as events subsequent to the Apostolic Visitation, have served to make the Church's position appear to be ambiguous on this delicate but important issue. A compassionate ministry to homosexual persons must be developed that has as its clear goal the promotion of a chaste lifestyle. Particular care is to be exercised by any who represent the Archdiocese, to explain clearly the position of the Church on this question."---Prot. (CNA) San Salvador, El Salvador, Jul 23, 2010 / 05:53 pm "Salvadoran columnist Julia Regina de Cardenal has denounced UNICEF for sponsoring a television program that promotes unethical behavior and promiscuity to children.
“Why are international organizations obsessed with investing such sums of money to pervert our children?” she asked in a column for the Salvadoran daily, Hoy. As an example, Cardenal pointed to the money spent on advertising during a television program that “promotes promiscuity, prostitution as a way of earning a living for young women, homosexuality and all forms of sexual disorder.”
Note: When Christians fall into such dissipations, the Church teaches they have fallen from the Good, and that such behaviors, besides being unfaithful to Christ and in need of forgiveness, threaten the common good. When international programs promote such behaviors they promote it all in principle and attack all those who suggest that in principle it must ever be wrong, per the natural law. Make no mistake, in the interests of undermining family (and thus traditional national and tribal) authority, and culling populations, the promotion of immorality is part of the globalization agenda advocating behaviors they know very well can lead to disease and death, creating also dependence along the way on profit-driven "health care," the very idea of which is being transvalued today. Their masterstroke is through propaganda to make the increased chances of disease and death appear a human right.

Pedophilia a Worldwide Issue, Not a Priest Problem
Founder of Protection Agency Laments Media Lobbies
ROME, JULY 29, 2010 (Zenit.org).- The founder of a children's protection organization laments that pedophilia only makes the news when it is linked to priests, which misses the point that it is a worldwide problem.
Father Fortunato Di Noto of the Meter association noted this deficiency in an interview with H2Onews.
Pedophilia is not just a crime but also a money machine, he explained, with an annual yield of €13 billion ($17 billion) and a victim toll of 200,000 abused children, increasingly even babies and toddlers.
And yet, Father Di Noto lamented, much of the press is scandalized only by pedophile priests and not by this phenomenon of enormous proportions.
"The most striking thing is that while we have talked about pedophilia in the clergy, the global phenomenon of pedophilia has not been discussed," he noted. "And the global phenomenon of sexual abuse is before the eyes of all.
"What impresses me, and what in essence makes the difference, is that the newspapers, probably influenced much by communication, lobbyists, have spoken more of this than of the gravity of pedophilia itself, more than the seriousness of sexual exploitation of children, the seriousness of the sex tourism of children, the gravity of selling children and of the rape of children.
"This is a blatant and visible demonstration of how certain press, moved by certain types of lobbying mentalities, sometimes communicate false, unverifiable, or exploitive information."
The founder of Meter added that the growth of pedophilia on social networks is another element that calls for greater parent responsibility and attention.
"The question is," he said, "why are there 180,000 children in Italy under the age of 13 who are enrolled on Facebook without authorization? And this means that there are 180,000 families who do not monitor the actions of these children."

The shock of the abuse
"The facts did not take me entirely by surprise. At the congregation for the doctrine of the faith, I had worked on the American cases; I had also seen the situation escalate in Ireland. But the dimensions were still an enormous shock. Ever since my election to the see of Peter, I had repeatedly met with victims of sexual abuse. Three and a half years ago, in October of 2006, in a speech to the Irish bishops I had asked them to "establish the truth of what happened in the past, to take whatever steps are necessary to prevent it from occurring again, to ensure that the principles of justice are fully respected and, above all, to bring healing to the victims and to all those affected by these egregious crimes." To see the priesthood suddenly tarnished in this way, and with it the Catholic Church itself, was difficult to bear. At that moment, however, it was important not to look away from the fact that good exists in the Church, and not only these terrible things." (ibid.)

Recent Charges of Sexual Abuse of Children in Hollywood Just Tip of Iceberg, Experts Say
By Meaghan Murphy; Published December 05, 2011 | FoxNews.com
Martin Weiss, a 47-year-old Hollywood manager who represented child actors, was charged in Los Angeles on Dec. 1 with sexually abusing a former client. His accuser, who was under 12 years old during the time of the alleged abuse, reported to authorities that Weiss told him "what they were doing was common practice in the entertainment industry." Weiss has pleaded not guilty.
On Nov. 21, Fernando Rivas, 59, an award-winning composer for “Sesame Street,” was arraigned on charges of coercing a child “to engage in sexually explicit conduct” in South Carolina. The Juilliard-trained composer was also charged with production and distribution of child pornography.
Registered sex offender Jason James Murphy, 35, worked as a casting agent in Hollywood for years before his past kidnapping and sexual abuse of a boy was revealed by the Los Angeles Times on Nov. 17. Murphy’s credits include placing young actors in kid-friendly fare like "Bad News Bears," "The School of Rock," "Cheaper by the Dozen 2” and the forthcoming "Three Stooges.”
...In fact it is the very nature of a TV or movie set that invites predators, experts tell Fox News.
“A set in Hollywood with children can become a place that attracts pedophiles because the children there may be vulnerable and less tended to,” explains Beverly Hills-based psychotherapist Dr. Jenn Berman.
“One thing we know about actors, psychologically speaking, is that they’re people who like a lot of attention. Kids naturally like a lot of attention, and when you put a kid on a set who is unsupervised and getting attention from someone who is powerful, it creates a vulnerability for a very dangerous situation...
"I can tell you that the No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia,” (40 year old Corey) Feldman told ABC’s Nightline. “That's the biggest problem for children in this industry... It's the big secret.” ...Read it all

"No man ought to sever himself from the unity of the Church before the time of the final separation of the just and the unjust merely because of the admixture of evil men in the Church." – St. Augustine, On Baptism
Note: If homosexuality was not about purposely distorting sex in the widest sense, no homosexual would reject the objective teleology of human sexual parts & the ends for which this all exists (normatively, for the continuance of the species). It is in this sense that it is called a perversion of nature's ends. In rejecting the complementarity of the male-female structure of nature the homosexual frustrates both the ends & meaning of love, confusing it with a friendship which is turned abnormal. True love begets---or at least does not reject in principle the meaning of this begetting as the very norm for ecological & spiritual wholeness. Homosexuality, then, represents in the final analysis a psychological & ecological stuntedness, sad to say.
